Built by an operator, not a marketing team

SyncMyCart is run by one founder who answers his own support email. Every onboarding call is with the person who wrote the code. Every bug report goes to the person who can fix it. No tier-1 support queue. No ticketing software. No "we'll escalate that."

That is also why onboarding is required and free. Fifteen minutes on a call up front means your books are right from day one — and if something goes sideways three weeks in, you already know who to call.

We are early. The code is real, the integrations work, and the founder picks up the phone. We are not pretending to be a unicorn. If that sounds like the kind of vendor you want for the data side of your business, we should talk.

Honest about what works today

  • Working today. Shopify, WooCommerce, and Wix → QuickBooks Online. Per-order posting. Refunds. Customer sync. Duplicate detection.
  • Working today. Wix → QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Wave Apps. Tested end-to-end.
  • Working today. ClearMyBooks audit toolkit (QuickBooks Online): forensic duplicate detection, customer cleanup, financial health scoring.
  • Beta. Stripe payout reconciliation with balance-transaction drill-down. Functional; we want a few more design partners.
  • Coming soon (free 6-month beta). TikTok Shop and eBay integrations. Sign up early — beta partners get six months free once it ships.

Why setup is a conversation, not a wizard

No "automatic" sync gets these decisions right by default. Every store is different, and the choices below determine whether your books are usable a year from now or full of cleanup work. Onboarding is when we make these decisions together — and once they're set, they're saved as a posting profile and applied to every order from there on.

Customer naming

First/last, last/first, business name, or a single placeholder for cash-style stores? Affects every customer report you'll ever run.

Address of record

Shipping or billing? Determines tax jurisdiction reporting and how your customer list reads.

Tax line treatment

Per-line, per-order, or per-jurisdiction summary? Depends on whether you file sales tax in one state or fifteen.

Refund accounting

Credit memo, refund receipt, or journal entry? Your accountant has a preference; we honor it.

Payment processor fees

Posted as separate expense, or netted against revenue? Affects your gross-margin reporting.

Gift cards and store credit

Deferred liability at sale, revenue at redemption? Or pass-through? Different states audit this differently.

Multi-currency rates

Lock at order time, or use payout-time rate? Matters if you sell in CAD, EUR, GBP, or AUD.

Class, location, and department

Map by product category, by store, by employee, or skip entirely? Drives QuickBooks class reports and Xero tracking categories.

Inventory cost basis

Use the store's COGS, your accounting software's COGS, or compute fresh per posting? Determines what your gross profit reports actually mean.

Posting cadence

Real-time as orders complete, daily summary, or per-payout batch? Real-time gives detail; payout-grouped reconciles cleaner.

A SaaS app cannot guess your answers to these — and any tool that pretends to is making the decisions for you, often badly. Fifteen minutes on a call up front saves months of cleanup later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What e-commerce platforms does SyncMyCart support?

SyncMyCart currently supports Shopify, WooCommerce, and Wix on the store side, and QuickBooks, Xero, and Wave on the accounting side. Connect using secure OAuth authentication.

What does SyncMyCart sync to QuickBooks Online?

SyncMyCart syncs orders, refunds, customers, inventory, and payouts. Every transaction from your store is posted to your accounting software automatically.

Does SyncMyCart have a free plan?

Yes. The Simply Free plan is free forever with no credit card required. It includes unlimited orders posted as single-line receipts, gift card support, discounts, and deposit-ready totals.

How long does setup take?

Most users are up and running in under 5 minutes. Your free onboarding call with the founder gets you configured correctly in under 15 minutes.

How does SyncMyCart handle duplicate orders?

SyncMyCart has built-in duplicate detection that prevents orders from being posted to your accounting software more than once, even if you sync the same date range multiple times.

Does SyncMyCart sync Shopify payouts?

Yes. Payout reconciliation is built in. Shopify payouts are matched and posted to your accounting software so your books reconcile without manual spreadsheet work.

How are taxes, shipping, and discounts handled?

SyncMyCart maps taxes, shipping charges, and discounts to the correct accounts in your accounting software automatically. No manual line-item entry required.

Is SyncMyCart secure?

Your Shopify and QuickBooks connections use OAuth — SyncMyCart never stores your Shopify or QuickBooks passwords. Your SyncMyCart account is protected by a verified email and password.

How is SyncMyCart different from A2X, Synder, or Bookkeep?

Two main differences. First, SyncMyCart posts at the individual order level — one transaction in your store equals one transaction in QuickBooks. Tools like A2X summarize orders into a single daily journal entry, which is faster but loses transaction detail; if your accountant ever asks "what happened on order #1234," summary entries can't answer that. Second, SyncMyCart bundles payout reconciliation and duplicate detection at every paid plan level — including the $24.99 Basic tier — rather than gating them behind enterprise pricing. Onboarding is also done by the founder personally, free, on every signup.

What happens to refunds?

Refunds sync automatically. When a refund is issued in your store, it is posted back to your accounting software so your records stay accurate without any manual adjustments.

Does SyncMyCart support Wix to QuickBooks (or Xero or Wave)?

Yes. Wix is a first-class store integration. SyncMyCart syncs Wix orders, refunds, and customers to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Wave Apps. Most Wix-to-accounting integrations are paid-only and Wix-to-Wave is rare; SyncMyCart's free plan covers single-line posting from Wix at no cost.

Can I sync Shopify orders to Wave Apps for free?

Yes. The Simply Free plan posts unlimited Shopify, WooCommerce, or Wix orders to Wave Apps as single-line receipts at no cost. If your accounting software is Wave and your store is small, the entire stack — store, sync, accounting — can be free.

I'm a bookkeeper or accountant managing multiple stores. How does SyncMyCart help?

SyncMyCart supports posting profiles — reusable account-mapping templates that you configure once and apply to multiple client stores. The ClearMyBooks audit toolkit (included on Premium and above, QuickBooks Online today) gives you forensic-level visibility into post-sync data: duplicate customers, financial-health scoring, order completeness checks. Accounting firms managing several Shopify or Woo clients are an explicit target audience.

Are TikTok Shop and eBay supported?

Not yet. Both integrations are in development. If you want early access, sign up for the free 6-month beta — partners who join before launch get six months free once it ships. Email support@syncmycart.com to be added to the list.

Why is onboarding required?

Three reasons. First, there is no silver bullet — anyone who tells you setup is automatic and works perfectly out of the box is setting you up for extra work later. Every store is different: your accounts, your tax setup, your products. Second, better to find a lump now than stage 4 cancer later. A 15-minute call before you go live is worth infinitely more than discovering your books have been wrong for six months. Third, I want happy customers, not confused ones. A confused customer is not a customer for long. The onboarding call is not for me — it is for you. You leave knowing exactly what is happening, why, and what to expect.
